Treasures & Trifles, January 29-31, 2027
We’re Off to a Grand Start!
You might think that after a record-breaking Treasures & Trifles sale, we would all be taking a long nap…not a chance!
For those who are new to Treasures and Trifles, it is an annual three-day sale held at San Pedro Chapel. Throughout the year, volunteers collect household treasures donated by generous neighbors. In January, our “army” of volunteers descends on the Chapel, spending a week sorting, arranging, decorating, and transforming the grounds into a remarkable marketplace. It is our neighborhood’s most impressive volunteer effort…and something you truly must see to believe.
Planning for Treasures & Trifles 2027 is well underway, and thanks to an extraordinary gift from Tucson Medical Center, we’re off to a terrific start. TMC has loaned OFLLAH a building on its campus through February 2027, giving us the storage and workspace we need to collect and organize donations months in advance.
The timing couldn’t be better. Last year’s sale was the most successful ever. Proceeds grew from $28,000 in 2025 to $51,423 in 2026…an increase of more than 80 percent. Our volunteer team expanded from 55 to 96 neighbors and friends, and donations arrived from throughout Old Ft. Lowell and beyond.
The success of Treasures & Trifles benefits both the San Pedro Chapel Preservation Fund and OFLLAH’s mission of helping neighbors remain independent in their own homes. Every donated lamp, chair, painting, dish set, and treasure helps make that possible.
And yes…we are accepting, with pleasure, donations for the next Treasures and Trifles, January 29-31, 2027.
We would love to have:
• Art and household décor
• Kitchen and bath items
• Matching sets of dishes and glassware
• Household items in good working condition
• Jewelry, scarves, and purses
• Antiques
• Indoor and outdoor furniture in good condition
• Linens
• Tools
• Camping gear
• Exercise, sports, and pet equipment and supplies
We do not accept:
• Unmatched dishes, glassware, and small knickknacks
• Electronics
• Clothing and shoes
• Books
• TV cabinets or entertainment centers
A helpful rule of thumb: if you think your item would sell for at least $5, it’s probably a great Treasures & Trifles donation. You can email or text for a pick-up now through January 22. Please send photos of all furniture. jcoxaz@gmail.com 520 548-3741
Treasures & Trifles has become much more than a sale. It is a neighborhood tradition powered by generous donors, dedicated volunteers, enthusiastic shoppers, and a shared commitment to helping our community thrive.
